Wayne and I hosted our housewarming party this past weekend.... we spent nearly the entire week (before the party) fixing up our house, speeding up our home improvement projects (like putting up blinds, cleaning up boxes, staining and varnishing the kitchen table, etc.) It was quite tiring. We also cooked most of the food for the housewarming too... we cooked 40 pieces of chicken and 5 lbs of korean BBQ, and it was all gone by 5pm!! So we had to go buy more meat. Crazy. But it was cool seeing old and new friends... some drove up from San Jose, some from Sac, and Will flew up from SD. Coolness.
Wayne's birthday was yesterday... pretty low-key day and hung out with Will and Gene. We had to drive Will back to the airport, and then afterwards we pigged out at Olive Garden. Then we watched the wedding video that Edwin made for us, since Gene hadn't seen the skit at the banquet. Pretty relaxing but good company.
I tried calling my brother but found out that he changed his cell number. Not sure how to get a hold of him... perhaps email? Hopefully he's not dying in the Chicago heat...
