Random thoughts:
1) My Osso Buco was a success last night. Whew!
2) One of my china students from a couple years back has been emailing me regularly. It's been really cool - when I was teaching in ZJ, she was in Alex's class and we struck up a friendship. She had alot of questions and struggled with understanding who God was. A year later, she's put her faith in the same God she mistrusted, and is now getting baptized! Not only that, but her athiest/communist friend (whom I recall telling my team, "if anyone becomes a Christian out of our labor, she'll definately be the LAST one) also claimed faith as well. It's still amazing to see all the fruit that is still coming out from a harvest that was done several years back.
3) On another note, feeling a bit burdened (again) with the pressure of taking care of and "fixing" things that are out of my control. I'm a sucker for unrealistic expectations. Still working on my boundaries here. Wayne helped me out a bit by talking it through with me... and the root of the matter is probably lack of security with myself and what I'm capable of and trying to constantly feel like I have to prove myself to others (whereas if I was more secure with myself, I wouldn't care what others would think, I'd be more confident with my limits and what I can and can't do).
Once again: Ruth, you gotta LET IT GO. =P
