Ruth's Ramblings

Tonight: Date night! Yay! I'm getting better at little snide remarks here and there about me and Wayne hanging out. (Man, I've realized that I have SO many little buttons - its really hard for people around me to NOT push anything) Sometimes its frustrating for others around us to think we are "joined at the hip" or whatever. We're MARRIED for goodness' sake. But that's another chip on my shoulder I'm learning to smooth over. Maybe the singles who make those comments are still having problems seeing us as one. Discovering why I get so ticked off by the littlest things (what am I looking for? what deep need am I looking for that I'm not getting - thus fueling my frustrating and anger?) helps though. I'm starting to get better at shrugging little comments off like that - the desperate need for respect won't be met by getting riled up by all these little things. And what I mean by "all these little things"... I can list them out and boy would they be a long list. But I'm working on it. =P

Tomorrow: Some of the girls from CTT A (2000) are coming over for a mini-reunion! The only thing that sucks is that it'll only be two hours. A little bummed out by that, but oh well, we'll make the most of it. I'm sure we've all changed since our trip three years ago... but I'm looking forward to hearing what people have been up to and what has been happening in their lives...
