Happy Chinese New Year!

The best part of this time of year is all the great food. By the end of the week, we'll have had three great Chinese New Year celebration dinners. Can't wait.

The bad part of this time of year is the expectation that we (as a married couple) will be passing out hong bao's (money red envelopes). Sorry to say, we have decided as a couple that we will not be passing out money to anyone within our peer group or older (we define our "peer group" quite loosely too). If you are the offspring of someone my age/generation, then ok, you can have one. Other than that, NO MONEY FOR ANYONE. Just wanted to make that clear. To all those money-hungry single friends of ours who want to exploit our marital status for some extra cash... It ain't happening. =)
