Weekend Recap

Rare again, yes I know. But here goes!

Friday evening Wayne came home from work and we went out to do some reading. We finished up PDL, and talked about it abit. I really enjoy discussing with Wayne things about our faith and what each of us is learning and growing from at the time.

Saturday morning I got into an argument with Wayne. Ok, so maybe it wasn't a full on argument, but I was steaming mad. I know it wasn't Wayne's fault, but the frustrating situation was still there and I was still fuming. After an hour, I cooled down on my own, and apologized to Wayne (hugs are important in this marriage). All forgiven and all gone. When your head takes over your heart, you begin realizing how stupid the issue is and not worth the emotional stress.

After that whole thing, we grabbed a couple BK whoppers and drove down to Berkeley for Mike & Ivana's wedding. I've heard so much about the Rose Garden, and it was gorgeous. We sat next to Wayne & Kelly & lil Josh, and Joey & Margaret. The banquet was at a chinese restaurant overlooking the entire bay (with a beautiful view of the bay bridge AND the golden gate bridge with the sunset off to the side) At the banquet we were seated next to some of Mike's bandmates/church friends. It was a good time of catching with old faces while meeting new ones. And the degrees of separation with these events are almost always pretty small.

We didn't get home til late Saturday evening. So it was a struggle to get up for church the next morning. PLUS we prepped for Sunday School during the service =P Turns out that we didn't have much of a class (I figured it was due to the Kings game) so we ended up doing some housekeeping stuff with PA about our upcoming Nepal trip and our Couples kinship group we're heading up. After our talk with PA, I started getting excited about Nepal. Just hearing all the preparations and logistics and planning got me going. I know it's 4-5 months away (feels like a long time) but I'm starting to get excited (I wasn't excited before -which is a whole other story to share later- so this is a good thing). Maybe I'll blog about Nepal later as the trip gets closer and closer....
