Finally! We flew back Thurs morning, and stayed in the bay area until Sat afternoon. It's good to be back. But it's sad that Wayne's vacation is coming to a close and work starts bright and early Monday morning. We definately did as much sightseeing as we could (equipted with just currency and an MTR/MRT map, we just walked and explored on our own until our feet nearly fell off in exhaustion). We also tried our best to go bargain shopping for a couple requests people made. Among a couple toys and trinkets and food people requested, we bought the following for ourselves:

Clothes (pants, shirts, socks, shoes, skirts, even a nice dress)
Jewelry
Backpack
Cell phone accessories
VCDs/CDs
Jellies (Mango & Lychee)
MJ set
Bottled & dried sauces/packets (yes, we went grocery shopping!!)
Recipe books
Stuffed animal magnets (don't ask)
Umbrellas
Duffel bags
Suitcase

So far off the top of my head... I'm sure there are other items we purchased that I can't remember. The best part was going grocery shopping (I know that sounds weird - but have you gone grocery shopping in another country?) and eating at the yummy hawker stalls. I can easily see how people can really miss the food in Singapore. It's a blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Thai, and other influences. Really good stuff. I miss it already.
