Biting my fingernails

I don't actually bite or chew my fingernails, but if it were a nervous habit of mine, I'd be doing it about now. Been feeling anxious lately - planning a shower for next week, and then a women's tea event the week after. I'm the nervous type, especially when I'm working independently at something I've never done before (thus the need for a consistent dose of affirmation). Next week will be a wreck - too many little tiny details to cover. With all this nervous energy, I normally would channel it into my knitting, but these days, I've had no choice but to twiddle my thumbs while waiting for my online yarn orders (which some of it is backordered for several weeks or more!! argh!!)... With no place to displace/distract this nervousness, I'm driving myself crazy. I didn't realize how soothing and theraputic knitting can be. Without it, I don't know what to do with myself. I can't wait for May to come already...!
