Ruth's Ramblings

This weekend we'll be in Santa Rosa. Wayne has a medical conference that he needs to attend, so we're going to make a weekend out of it. I'm also hearing from alot of old friends, which is always nice. CL called and maybe I'll see her Monday (she's coming up to visit from SF). I had a long chat with LH last night too - it was good to hear how she's doing and what her latest boy-troubles are. I felt somewhat honored that she opened up to me about that part of her life... because I'm starting to notice that not all my single girlfriends are comfortable sharing with me because they feel that I wouldn't be able to relate or understand, since I'm already married. My marital status has put a different spin on some of my friendships, and this was something I worried about before the wedding. I can still feel it, and sometimes I hear remarks here and there that dismiss me as such. I don't like being shut out like that. It's a little sad, but I guess that's a part of life sometimes...? =(
