The A/C repairman is finally here. Apparently there's some leak and he went up to the attic and got his fingers all sticky with some gook. Hope he fixes what ever is wrong.
Church camp was good. My only goal at camp was to meet God. I didn't really care whether or not there were too many programs, too little programs, not enough this, not enough that, it wasn't the same like last year, blah blah blah. As long as my goal was met (and it was), I'm a happy camper. Wayne and I met up with PA and Bev - and it really made me realize just how much unpeeling I have to do... and PA even suggested that perhaps a counselor of some sort can help me surface some of these things (like how E is meeting up with a Christian professional). He also suggested some older support - I can't really share this with just anyone - which is sort of what I've been looking for ever since I came to CG, but sort of gave up on that (that's another story). This is going to be pretty difficult to do on my own, but we'll see how God provides. I also got a chance to pray through some of Neil Anderson's stuff - I'm not too sure about all that binding vs. loosing spirits and what doors I've opened for these things to take place, but all I know is that I'm taking an active stand to grasp truth (its the truth that will set me free, right?) and loose all those lies that I've been fed lately. As I'm slowly unpeeling, I'm slowly rebuilding as well. Good stuff.
As for worship - I enjoyed it. Not sure how I sounded, but I guess as long as the worship brought everyone to the presence of God, I could have sounded like a frog but still it would have served its purpose. I like how ministry can be so flexible - a bit on the fly (although some might find that a bit stressful) - because there's no time to hammer out unnecessary details and it almost forces you to depend on God and His provisions. If something goes wrong or unplanned (which will always happen), it doesn't matter. Just go with it and move on. God works in and through our frailness and our humanness - and through that, we witness His sovereignty. One thing I was annoyed at though, was that more people at church started introducing themselves and talking to me just because I was a vocalist on the worship team. I've been at CG for almost 3 full years and it has to take something like me serving "publicly" for some individuals to start realizing that I'm going to their church. If they didn't notice me or Wayne the past couple years, gosh, they really missed a whole lot of other people. A little annoying, but oh well. I guess that will always be a struggle in such a large church as CG..? Can't do anything about that one. Anyways, Mike did a good job, and so did everyone else.
