Wayne took Thursday and Fridays off (since he got 28 out of 30 deliveries), so he spent Thursday afternoon helping me scan and crop up some of my thesis documents, and I rushed to turn the damn thing in on Friday. We also got me a new tire at Costco since I blew out one of them earlier this week. Most of Friday afternoon we went shopping for mostly the Christmas party later that night, and didn't come home until around 8pm -- to which we still had to clean house and decorate and eat dinner before people start coming in at 9pm.
The Christmas party was fun. The carollers didn't get back until close to 9:45pm, but that was okay. People brought yummy juk and angel food cake and Jeannie brought soup noodles. It was perfect because the carollers were all wet, soggy and cold from being in that awful weather last night (supposedly "remnants of a supertyphoon" as the weather reports say). It's so much fun having people over, I love it. It works out well when Wayne is home too, so we can take care of everything AND have time to mingle and have fun. So that was cool. Janelle handled the White Elephant Gift game on the fly really well, and people left around midnight. Mark CL stayed to hang out and chat with us until 3am. It was cool chatting with him and getting to know him and hear him open up. Talking to him is like talking to my friends in SS back in San Jose. I miss that alot. As Wayne says, we've found an ally, someone who understands where we're at. Anyways, I'm looking forward to this weekend because Wayne isn't working and the house is clean and we get to hang out with friends! The Angs cancelled on us, so that just means more hang out and alone time with the hubby. Of course, I don't mind that a bit. =D
