Ruth's Ramblings

I am FINALLY done with that dreaded literature review. I think I had + 20 sources for the silly thing. I'm a little worried about its length (I'm five pages shy of my goal length) but we'll see how my thesis advisor thinks about it. I handed in my methodology chapter (Chapter 2) last week, but he had cancelled his office hours then. Grrr. Hopefully he'll show up this week -- I worked so hard this on the stupid thing. Now all I've got is two more chapters.. and these should be the most interesting chapters (the data analysis and discussion/conclusion afterwards). But I have to first figure out SPSS, entering all that tedious data, and figuring out how to manipulate my variables and come up with really cool comparison graphs and charts. I heard that SPSS is great as a database, but in terms of charts and graphs, Excel has prettier ones. We'll see how it goes. I've been lingering around Cindy's blog and found out she's doing the exact same thing that I'm doing. Too bad she isn't closer to Sac, so we can crunch out this SPSS stuff together (plus hang out and catch up too)... =)
