Spent nearly the entire day with Wayne the past couple days. He's managed to get off of work right when I get up (which is close to noon, plus or minus an hour). Last night we decided to make it a "date" night and went to dinner at Harlow's and then off to see a movie. We saw Chicago, which was pretty good for Wayne, because he has a natural aversion against musicals. But this movie he was able to appreciate -- although he doesn't usually prefer movies where people sing and dance, he was able to enjoy this one. And of course, I LOVED it. Anybody who has the tinniest bit of appreciation for the stage (in my opinion) would not be bored... the musical/dance numbers actually describe and speed up the story line, rather than stall it. And - get this - all actors/actresses do their own singing. Not bad, eh? So you get to hear Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renee Zelleweger, Richard Gere, and Queen Latifah, belt it out with choreography. Lucy Liu has a brief scene, but she doesn't do any singing or dancing. She just pulls off a triple homicide and the police pulls her in jail screaming and kicking reporters. Not bad. I liked it.... and would probably recommend it.
Today Clem is coming over to hang out. Gene and Cindy are staying over tonight, and Thomas might come too. Tommorrow we'll be at at housewarming party in the Rose Garden area, and then off to El Dorado Hills for Justin's 4th birthday party (that kid is such a cutie, I swear). Which means I ought to hurry up with this blog and get going on all the errands I need to run...
